Telstar Designed to Laminate &Rre-Register Rotary Die-Cutting on Pre-Printed Products.
The auto register on this rotary die-cutter is so finely tuned that the machine can start and stop without loosing register. This precision makes it possible to process sequentially numbered products without loosing the sequence. Linered or self-wound laminates can be applied to the pre-printed web. After matrix stripping, the finished product can either be rewound or sheeted. The rotary sheeter is also controlled with auto-register.
Other machine features include a splice table, lateral die adjustment, and die pressure monitor. A safetly light curtain allows access to the control console, but prevents reaching into the process zone. The built-in die hoist makes changing tools safe and easy.

The Mark Andy 4120-16" Press Re-Configured as a Custom Converting Press
The machine sequence is altered to allow a secondary rewind to be positioned between the unwind and die station. A pre-printed pressure sensitive web was introduced from the standard unwind, with the liner being rewond, the PS is then laminated to a absorbent pad material. The rotary die station was upgraded with Telstar's independent servo drive and auto register system. The cut pads were drawn from the die and shingled on an eight-foot long variable speed conveyor.
